Time Flys!

I have had my job for 3 weeks already! Time goes so fast when your working!

I'm enjoying it and surprisingly enjoying having a routine, I actually have more time than before! my body clock gets me up early, even on a weekend, so sleeping in to 2 in the afternoon like i used to at uni now seems a distant memory, in a good way!

I officially got my university results in print and I shall be graduating with a 2.2 on september 8th!its just nice to see it on paper!

Shooting tomorrow with Chris Beasley :D

FULL time.

I think I mentioned I had an interview for a couple of graphic design jobs, well...

I GOT A JOB!

I am now officially a Junior graphic designer!

I start on monday, even though I had a couple of days work trial last week,
I mean, I get to design things, drink tea and listen to music. I get paid to do something I ENJOY, which is rare apparently.  Ive already got to know some people due to the work trial, which makes things less awkward when I start next week, they all seem like a cool and friendly group of people.

I am scared though, I've never had a full time job before, which is scary in its only right,
I guess it means the weekends and evenings will become even more precious and i'll make the most of the time. I'm also trying to keep my modelling up at the same time. I got approached by the  amazing Chris Beasley https://www.facebook.com/chrisbeasleytog about shooting for him next month, so that will be an awesome experience.

Student No More. Soon to be WIFE!

HI!

so really,
I'm not a university student anymore, even though I'm still acting like it.
But now I'm actually applying for JOBS..real JOBS.

To be honest, applying for a 9-5 job actually scares me. It feels so adult? I'm 23, so technically I am an adult, but I don't want to act like one and I certainly don't feel like I want a career!
I'm not lazy, I know working hard is the way forward and the way in which we get money, I'm fine with getting a JOB, happily in-fact because I'm skint right now! but the thought of making a career seems so inclosed and so mature. Regardless of my fear, I've been applying for graphic design jobs anyway, and I've actually managed to get an interview next week!

in other news, I got invited to a casting by FRONT MAGAZINE!
to me, this is huge, regardless of peoples opinions on the magazine or on 'glamour modelling' as some call it. Getting in the magazine has been a dream of mine for a very long time,
I have bought the magazine for years!
however, I had to think the bigger picture about what going topless would mean and for me it may mean losing out on jobs, modelling jobs and proper jobs too, plus I had to respect the wishes of friends and family too. Still feel sad thinking 'what could have been' though.

More big news..oh I'M GETTING MARRIED!
( I designed the save the date postcards ;) )
not just that, but we set a date and booked the wedding! we got a great deal and we couldn't say no!
but yes, I am getting married on 15th February 2015, so most likley I will become one of those people who just talk about their wedding none stop via their blog or social media - however to be honest I think thats pretty normal, getting married is HUGE deal, and everyone deserves their time to be happy and talk about their wedding day!

lots has seemed to happen in a small period of time, but all positive and all moving forward!

Freedom!

It's official!
I had my last university hand in on friday!
Cant believe I made it and how quick the time has gone... but yes! I did it!

After having so much work to do I can now return to the real world and have some chill time and time to socialise again..which is surreal to be honest...even to have the time to eat proper meals is amazing haha!

Currently we are preparing for the end of year show ( www.showfourteen.co.uk) which begins the end of this month,...so still really I'm glued to university just for a little bit longer as there is a lot of prep to be done for it

Have to say I'm excited to have some free time but also scared..what do I do now?
Ive decided until I get my results in June I aren't going to apply for any jobs yet - I don't want to jinx it! but I have started  looking at what the job market has on offer for graphic design jobs...there is actually a lot out there, and i'm going to apply all over the country so not to restrict myself.

safe to say I will be posting on here  a lot more now I have the time to!  so expect there to be a lot of random but positive posts.
I'm Giving myself a couple of months off to do things which I haven't had chance to do because of uni, keeping creative, doing some modelling and going to London! seeing friends is going to be very high on my list as I feel due to uni I have been a bit of a rubbish friend to be honest, so i've got making up to do! It's all really exciting and even better because the weather is beautiful at the moment.

oh yeah.. I had a photo shoot for Deth Kult clothing (https://www.facebook.com/dethkult ) last week for their new range, so looking forward to seeing the outcome of the images which will appear on their website/twitter/facebook pages :)
I was a vain bastard too and applied to be a Front magazine alt girl, I saw them post they were looking for girls to apply now that they are returning back after there short stay away..so I thought why the hell not.. you only live once and everything.

Just crash, it's our time now,

Hi!

It feels like I have been a bit of a ghost blogger lately, university has defiantly taking priority...
which is obviously a good thing!

Only 3 months to go till my student life is over, kinda scary but also exciting. Really concentrating on university is paying off and its showing in my grades!

Applied for my very first graphic design job today..it's based in London...ok, it would mean us moving after settling down here, but if its an amazing job with great pay, its defiantly worth it.

Design Design Design.

University is officially back in the swing of things. It's extremely hectic and to be honest its more stressful than i thought it would ever be.
I got my grades back, good news - I'm passing. Bad news - its not the high grades I'd hoped for, which is disheartening when you have put all your heart and soul in to something, so I've felt a little down about that for the last few days. But managed to motivate myself again to get this next project on a roll. The whole not having a job has really helped me manage my time better so far, and most likely I will be seeing the benefits of this extra time during deadline week!

I managed to have a shoot with Cole Black and Rich this week. Something i haven't done before, which was video and latex and some underwear too :).
